Responsibilities:

• Cut, bend and bundle reinforcing steel bars in accordance with shop drawings provided
• Manufacturing steel rebar used in building construction projections through cutting, bending, tying and performing other process to meet specifications;
• Operate a rebar bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specific shapes
• Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths
• Responsible for identifying correct size of material, cutting the desired number of pieces to their specific lengths and bending them to the desired angles based on the information contained in the order form;
• In addition to conducting visual inspections of material for defects and compliance with specifications, while maintaining a clean and organized work area;
• Interpret and read blueprints, sketches and other specifications

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of Rebar fabrication and steel processing experience
• Has background on construction.
• Familiar with rebar fabrication equipment and machinery
• Able to read/ interpret drawings, blue prints and/ or bills;
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to accurately calculate bar measurements
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
